These skill sets are for individuals seeking approval through their State/Territory Transport Agency who will be responsible for stopping and starting traffic in Temporary Traffic Management on urban streets and low volume rural roads and for traffic management implementation on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management
This course is delivered through structured self-study and in the workplace.
You will participate in a minimum of 41 hours of training and assessment and industry work-based training and assessment.
Post course TC1 - following a period in which the learner logs 20 hours of practical training experience, not more than six months following the formal instructional sessions of the course. The practical assessment (post completion of the 20 hours) will be conducted in a live traffic scenario under supervision.
Post course TMI1– within a 6-month period of completing the theoretical component of the course, the learner will complete three different setups based on Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes relevant to their working conditions.
You will be provided with a Learner Guide (learning materials) which you will need to read and complete the activities in the guide. You will also be required to read through and complete Assessment Task 1: Knowledge Questions before completing the assessment.

. support with personal issues
. access to additional learning resources
. reasonable adjustment in assessment
. social events
. information about external sources of support.
You may not have studied for a while, may have English as a second language or need additional assistance with literacy or numeracy.

You are required to bring your own laptop with Office 365 (or similar program) to all classes. These costs are not included in your course fees. Specifications for laptops and associated costs are included below.

An individual wishing to enrol in this combination of skill sets must hold the unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or its equivalent unit (e.g., Construction White Card) at the time of enrolment.
You must:
. participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs
. meet the requirements as set out in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management Part 8 and any condition of the relevant State/Territory Transport Agency.
The costs for this course are as follows:
$1100.00 gst inc.

Course fees do not include laptops or software – see information above. Please note that you will also be required to provide a National Police Certificate and some workplaces may require certain immunisations. These will be at your own cost.
